PostSubject: Basic Raiding Rules, and whats expected of you. Updated 7/02/09   Sun Mar 29, 2009 6:42 pm

How Bloodhoof Clan Raiding Works:

In WotLK we have the option of doing 10 and 25 man raids, So to make 25 man raiding easier for everyone we use the following progression plan:

At the start of WotLK we organized the best of the best 10 people and started on Naxx10, those 10 learn the encounters and get geared up, Once the Naxx 10 is on farm (Farm = Downing all bosses in one night) Then we move to naxx25, this gives the 25 man team 10 experienced, geared players and 15 less experienced less geared players. Wich in turn makes the 25 man go much smoother.

Now! While we are doing the Naxx 25, the core Naxx10 group will be progressing through Ulduar, Once Ulduar 10 is on farm we will move to Ulduar 25, Now! when we do Ulduar 25 We have 10 Ulduar geared players, and 15 Naxx25 Geared players. Wich in turn makes Ulduar 25 Go MUCH MUCH Smoother...

In the future this type of progression plan will be used.. i understand this means alot of you wont get into the Highest of the Highest level raiding right away... But unfortunately, when it comes to progression and doing the Learning part of raiding, we need the best of the best!

Now we will need fill ins for the 10 mans, and you can be a part of this by doing everything you can to get your gear score up, other things that will help you get invited into a fill in spot are, (but are not limited to) Knowing your boss encounters (www.tankspot.com) Watch videos, learn the strats, chant your gear, gems your gear, be ready to offer ideas in the 25 man versions, keep a positive attitude..

Top End Progression Raiding

Just so everyone is clear on how high end progression raiding works heres some simple information so you all know exactly what is going on. When we do progression 10 man, this means the 10 best geared, most knowledgeable, most prepared people are
invited, regardless of attendance points, regardless if you went on one
day, but were left out on the second day. This group of people are what
we consider the "Progression Team"

The "Progression Team" Is Chosen from the Raider Ranked Members.

This doesnt mean that you do not get to go, it means you have yet to prove you can be there and be prepared EVERY WEEKEND! If your not on this list, and you go on saturday, and then
sunday comes around and we decide to attempt a boss... you may not get
an invite if the people on the above list are on.

This is not set in stone, just beacuse your on this list doesnt mean youll stay on
this list, and yes, if you prove to the guild that your prepared and
availble EVERY WEEKEND, then your name will be added to the list! The
best way to prove your ready for Ulduar, is to attend raids other than
ulduar (Naxx25 would be your best bet), do the minimum dps required,
contribute to boss strats & be prepared by bringing YOUR OWN FOOD,
ELIXIRS, FLASKS, & CASH FOR REPAIRS.

The reason why we do this is to minimize down time during boss encounters... Once we have
Ulduar 10 on Farm (1 shot all bosses in one raid attendance) and once
everyone who is running naxx25 is geared in naxx25 gear, Ulduar 25 will
start.. and everyone who is geared will go!

BHC Raiding Structure: Rules: Expectation (These will be strictly enforced)

In order to promote a fun, friendly & sucessful raiding experience for those who want to raid. Bloodhoof Clan will now use two ranks to define raiders.

Raider Rank - This rank is for people who show up to the majority of the raids, these people are the best geared, hardest working, And come prepared.

Casual Rank (Clan Member Rank) - Is someone who is interested in raiding, but cannot put forth the time and effort it takes to be a "Dependable & Resourceful" raider.

Requirements for promotion to Raider Rank:

1. Needs to have a specific gear score.
2. Needs to have specific (minimum) Stats.
3. Does this person come prepared? Food Buffs, Chants, Proper Sockets? ect ect...
4. Is Registered & Active on the website.
5. Does this person read strats, does he have experience?
6. Does this person have the proper addons and ventrillo installed and in use?
7. Follows raid leader instruction and keeps vent traffic to a minimum.
8. Limits AFKs to scheduled breaks.

How invites will be handled

The "Raider" Ranked Member, Trumps the "Casual" Ranked Member, When it comes to raids. Some may disagree with this policy, back in BC days. EVERYONE in the guild went to Karazhan, but only the best of the best in the guild went to Zul'aman.

People will all signup in the proper way its being handled at the moment, "Raider" ranked people will be invited 1st, then we will move on to the "Casual" ranked people to fill in the rest. Those in the "Casual" rank, who dont get an invite will then have to ask to be put on the "Standby List" if you go on this standby list, when someone bows out, you come in..

To address the issue of Dual spec and raiding, The Spec you come as is the spec you roll for. If your Main spec is heals, and you come as dps, then you roll on dps gear, If no one wants it, then you may roll on the offspec roll. This makes it fair for those who consistantly come to raids as the same spec each week! In The !EVENT! you are asked to use a differnt spec to benifit the raid, you will be able to roll on your main spec. But you must choose at the beginning of the raid wich type of gear you will be rolling on for your main spec, and let the raid leader know.

Required Addons:

Omen Threat Meter: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/omen-threat-meter.aspx
Deadly Boss Mods: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/deadly-boss-mods.aspx
Pally Power: Paladins Only: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/pally-power.aspx

Discipline

ATTITUDE is the key! if you get a shitty attitude in public chat beacuse you
went saturday, and didnt get an invite sunday, or your attitude during
the raid its self is Condescending, Rude. or anything
other that productive & positive you will loose your chance to raid.
THIS INCLUDES EVERYONE! NO ONE IS IMMUNE TO THIS!

If a "Raider Ranked" member continually breaks the raiding rules he will be removed from the "raiding rank" and demoted to "Casual" for a set amount of weeks, and will only be invited when spots are avaible that cannot be filled by any other member. This should (and i hope) limit afks, and negative attitudes in raids... continued rule breaking can mean removeal from the guild.

Loot Management/Distribution

We all know that the main reason everyone raids, is to get fat loots... BUT here at BHC we like to
distribute loot to the whole guild, to make the whole guild stronger. So we follow these simple loot rules.

- We will use the simple /roll command to distribute loot.

- With dual spec we do rolls like this, 1st off the raid leader will call out for MAIN SPEC (MS) Rolls, only those with the proper armor class (Example: If its cloth spellpower gear, only clothies can roll on it, druids, paladin and shaman must wait for offspec roll) if no one rolls on the piece it will goto a Free Roll/Off Spec Roll (FR or OR) When a piece of gear reaches the Offspec roll anyone can roll on it as long as you can equip it. (exception to this rule, we do not allow a warrior to roll on healing gear, it must benifit your class in some way)

- You only get 1 main spec roll per night, and unlimited offspec rolls. Once everyone has recieved an item the main spec rolls will be reset and everyone will get another main spec roll (THIS INCLUDES TIER) We do this to make sure loot is evenly distributed to teh raid/guild. This system is designed to make the GUILD stronger as a whole, and not ONE person. Hence we perform better in raids as a whole.

- Raid leaders use addons to track loot distribution if any questions arrise.

- This doesnt mean you will only be getting 1 piece of gear the entire raid, most people will walk out of raids with multiple upgrades, sometimes depending on group makeup you will walk out with a good amount of gear. We Believe in distrbuting loot to someone who can use it, instead of disenchanting it.

These rules can and will be update frequently, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to be up to date and current on these rules... Beacuse they can be changed w/o notice.

Oh and one last thing, if you want to see Ulduar, i better see you in naxx25, you need to help your lower geared guildies get the gear they need so we all can progress into Uld25 and further. If you dont sign up for Naxx25, you wont goto Ulduar. PLAIN AND SIMPLE!

What it takes to be a RAIDER...

Many people think that once you hit 80, its time to start raiding, well that is far................from the truth.
So you may ask... what does it require to be a raider? This post will give you ideas on what you need to do to become a Raid Worthy character.

HEROICS! HEROICS!! HEROICS!!! TILL YOU BLUE IN THE FACE!!!
1st Off you need to get to 80, and have a good set of Pre80 Dunegon blues and start grinding the hell out of heroics... Over and over and over and over, Not so much for the gear (wich is naxx quality BTW, Epics that is) But the EMBLEMS! these emblems, or what i like to call them "Badges" can be turned in for TIER7 GEAR!! NTM a whole vendor full of NAXX10 quality gear... This should be your main priority, GET EVERYTHING you can use from the heroics & the badge vendors. ALSO GET YOU 4 Rep Tabards ASAP!!! these are not hard to get and give you a few more epic quality items and nice SHoulder and Head enchants too...

Now since your running heroics you also need to find youself a Leatherworker, Tailor, or Blacksmith and see what he has to offer, there are some VERY NICE Naxx10 quality Armor & Weapons for your specific class!!

WINTERGRASP BAY-BAY!!
2nd, Once you have a good set of heroic gear, its time to start doing Wintergrasp, Get that Honor beacuse you can now buy Epic Quaily Season 5 Arena gear off the pvp vendor in Orgimmar, and all you need is honor, and a Wintergrasp Win, with all the dailys can net you 5k honor every 2 1/2 hours.

NOW that you have done Wintergrasp you need to be pugging out VoA 10-25 Man (Vault Of Archavon) It is best to do these dungeons on Tuesday or wensday, as it resets on tuesday. The 1st Boss in VoA drops Tier7 gear (ALL PIECES) and Season 5 Arena Gear, The 2nd Boss aint so easy, but can be done, and he drops your Tier8 gear & Season 6 PvP Gear! You need to do these everyweek, 10 and 25 man!!!!

EASILY PUGGABLE RAIDS!!! = FREE LOOTS!!
3rd, Obsidian Sanctum, This boss is a cake walk people, He is what i consider FREE LOOT, PUG the 10-25 man versions EVERY WEEK! no acceptions, pugs for both VoA & OS are soooooo easy to get into its silly! and it is in no way a hard fight!

ZOMG NOT DAILIES AGAIN!!!! /dies
4th The Argent Tournament! LOL yes i cannot believe im saying this myself, BUT there are a few EPIC quality pieces up there you should look into.

CHANTS GEMS CHANTS GEMS!!
This is very important for a raider, gear w/o gems and enchants is just STOOPID!! we offer free enchants for those who donate there greens to the Gbank for Disenchant! so drop your greens in there and when you get a nice piece of EPIC quality gear, send a tell to Sangwynn or Fallout/Kazza/Dora/OMG TOON MANY TOONS Razz and we will get you chanted up! GEMS are very important too even if they are only GREEN quailty gems. Shoulder and head enchants can be found all over the world of azeroth, please find one that suits you even if its an old Burning Crusade enchant! Leg armor kits can be made by leatherworkers & Embrodery Thread can be made by tailors and provide some nice buffs for your leggings & Cloaks!!!

These are things you can do to help your self become a leet raider. you can also PUG the 25 man versions of Naxxarramas and Uldur if you really wanna push it to the maxx, i know i see lots of the members who run with us reguarly doing 25 man pugs all the time... Its not hard, just make sure to listen and perform as asked.

ONE LAST THING, SPREAD THE LOVE!!
Help your fellow guildies run heroics, not only will you be helping them, but you will be helping yourself down the line, you never know when you may need a hand, and people take notice when you help them and tend to return the favor!

This is what this game is all about. and i still see people coming to raids with unenchated gear, gear with no gems socketed, blues under level 80... and such... this is unaccepable if you want to raid.

These rules are not meant to deter or restrict you from raiding guys, they are meant to get you motivated and give you something to shoot for....everyone who runs raids every weekend with me, has done all this! and this is why they are there...

Once you have read & understand these rules click this link and sign that you have read and understand the raid rules.
